Trey Ratcliff Photowalk

Fa temps que segueixo al Trey Ratcliff al seu blog. És un fotògraf professional que es dedica a fer imatges HDR (High Dynamic Range), que consisteix fer vàries fotos de la mateixa escena però amb diferents exposicions, i després combinar-les a l'ordinador per fer una imatge o no hi hagi parts massa fosques ni massa clares. Tot i que a mi no m'encanta aquest estil, el Trey és una celebritat en aquest tipus de fotografía i no podia perdre'm la oportunitat d'assistir al seu Photowalk a Santa Monica. Un Photowalk en principi consisteix en anar amb el fotògraf mentre t'explica com fa les fotos, el perqué de cada cosa i demés. El problema va ser que érem més de 400 aficionats a la fotografia, i va ser molt complicat enganxar algun consell. Tot i així va ser una experiència curiosa i vaig practicar a tirar alguna foto HDR. Que no serveixi de precedent, per que requereixen més post-processat a l'ordinador del que estic disposat a assumir.

I've been following Trey Ratcliff's blog for a while. He's a professional photographer that takes HDR (High Dynamic Range) pictures. This consists in taking several pictures of the same scene but with different expositions, and after combining them with the computer to  obtain an image without too dark nor too clear parts. Even thought I'm not a huge fan of this style, Trey is truly a celebrity in this kind of photography and I coulnd't miss to assist to his Photowalk in Santa Monica. A Photowalk consists in going with a photographer while he takes pictures and explains what he is doing, why is he doing it and so on. The problem was that we were over 400 people over there and it was very difficult to snap a tip. Anyways, it was a cool experience and I got to practice some HDR shooting. Don't think of this as a precedent, since HDR photography requires way more post-processing than what I'm able to stand.

I aquestes fotografies són les que jo vaig fer en HDR, fent molts esforços per evitar que sortís algún altre fotògraf, la qual cosa era ben complicada d'aconseguir...
