This is the sign that welcomes you to what californians call "Sin City". In California, clubs close at 2 am, gambling is not permitted, drinking is forbidden on the street and a whole bunch of other things that are allowed in Vegas. It is for this reason that they are crazy about going there. If there's something big to celebrate, people end up coming here.

Truth is that they have a nice thing organized here. Everything is fake, but I love it. Neons, Eiffel tower, Colloseum, Empire State Building, fairytale castles, pyramids, venetian canals... There's place for anything.

Here things work as follows: everything is in the hotels. Rooms, in general, are not too expensive for what the services they give, because benefits are supposed to mainly come from the casino. Most of the casinos are inside of the hotels, and also are clubs, pubs and shops. Everything happens inside the hotels. Actually, in daytime most of the people just go around the hotels to check which one is the most extravagant. I find it funny that, normally, hotels in other cities try to be in interesting places to atract tourists. But here, they just put a bunch of hotels in the middle of the desert and the only interesting thing in the city is the hotels themselves. It's a different concept of tourism, because not even resorts in the Caribbean are so radical in this aspect, since people go there for the beaches. Nobody comes to Vegas for the desert.
